RUSTON, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards will be in Ruston today to visit areas impacted by the April 25 tornado.
Edwards will meet with local leaders and provide an update on ongoing recovery efforts.
The tornado claimed the lives of a mother and son and left much of the area, including portions of Louisiana Tech University, damaged.
The City of Ruston is hosting a town hall meeting on Tuesday for residents impacted by the storm to address lingering questions and to give updates on recovery progress.
The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at the Historic Fire Station in Downtown Ruston.
