LDH reports 3,308 deaths due to COVID-19, and 78,122 confirmed cases now in Louisiana

ALEXANDRIA, La (WNTZ) – Update as of Sunday, 7/12/2020

The Louisiana Department of Health has confirmed 78,122 COVID-19 cases now in Louisiana, with the death toll at 3,308. There are currently 1,143 patients hospitalized; 134 of those on ventilators.

As of 7/7/2020 there are 46,334 presumed recovered cases in the state.

Cases in Central Louisiana:

Rapides Parish – 2,001 cases, 79 deaths.

Avoyelles Parish – 482 cases, 17 deaths.

Natchitoches Parish – 403 cases, 14 deaths.

Evangeline Parish – 332 cases, 1 death.

Vernon Parish – 277 cases, 9 deaths.

Catahoula Parish – 215 cases, 3 deaths.

Sabine Parish – 210 cases, 1 death.

Concordia Parish – 151 cases, 7 deaths.

Grant Parish – 128 cases, 2 deaths.

La Salle Parish – 121 cases, 0 deaths.
