LDH reports 3,211 deaths due to COVID-19, and 68,263 confirmed cases now in Louisiana

ALEXANDRIA, La (WNTZ) – Update as of Tuesday, 7/7/2020

The Louisiana Department of Health has confirmed 68,263 COVID-19 cases now in Louisiana, with the death toll at 3,211. There are currently 1,025 patients hospitalized; 109 of those on ventilators.

As of 6/30/2020 there are 43,026 presumed recovered cases in the state.

Cases in Central Louisiana:

Rapides Parish – 1,759 cases, 72 deaths.

Avoyelles Parish – 402 cases, 15 deaths.

Natchitoches Parish – 334 cases, 14 deaths.

Evangeline Parish – 247 cases, 1 death.

Catahoula Parish – 204 cases, 3 deaths.

Vernon Parish – 217 cases, 9 deaths.

Concordia Parish – 126 cases, 6 deaths.

Sabine Parish – 120 cases, 1 death.

La Salle Parish – 109 cases, 0 deaths.

Grant Parish – 103 cases, 2 deaths.
