LDH reports 3,147 deaths due to COVID-19, and 61,561 confirmed cases now in Louisiana

ALEXANDRIA, La (WNTZ) – Update as of Thursday, 7/2/2020

The Louisiana Department of Health has confirmed 61,561 COVID-19 cases now in Louisiana, with the death toll at 3,147. There are currently 840 patients hospitalized; 91 of those on ventilators.

As of 6/30/2020 there are 43,026 presumed recovered cases in the state.

Cases in Central Louisiana:

Rapides Parish – 1,597 cases, 65 deaths.

Avoyelles Parish – 375 cases, 14 deaths.

Natchitoches Parish – 297 cases, 14 deaths.

Evangeline Parish – 202 cases, 1 death.

Catahoula Parish – 192 cases, 3 deaths.

Vernon Parish – 159 cases, 8 deaths.

Concordia Parish – 113 cases, 6 deaths.

La Salle Parish – 99 cases, 0 deaths.

Grant Parish – 90 cases, 1 death.

Sabine Parish – 90 cases, 1 death.
