La. Tech still looking for starting QB for season opener

Sports
We already know Ryan Higgins will not be the starter for Louisiana Tech when the Bulldogs take on Arkansas, but who will be lining up under center?

That’s what Skip Holtz is trying to figure out in fall camp.

The battle is between J’Mar Smith and Price Wilson.

The two got their shots to shine in yesterday’s scrimmage, but so far neither has separated themselves.

Skip Holtz said, “I think J’Mar started strong. I think he made a couple of poor decisions at the end. The biggest thing that I’m looking for from both Price and him right now is their decision making ability. Where they are in their decision making because that’s going to be the big key. They both have talent, and they can do some things, but playing that position is about knowing what’s going on on the field and making good decisions.”

The Bulldogs will open the 2016 season on the road in less than two weeks, September 3rd, against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
