Coming into the season one of the big story lines surround the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs was who would replace Kenneth Dixon in the backfield.
Coach Skip Holtz told us at media days there were a couple of guys that could step up, but it’s been the former Haughton Buccaneer Jarred Craft emerging as the workhorse back.
Craft has over 500 yards and three touchdowns in the first five games, and gives Holtz an added demension to that potent offense.
Skip Holtz said, “Jarred Craft played a great game. Early it was some tough sledding up inside, but Jarred is a workhorse.”
Trent Taylor said, “I think Jarred Craft is a complete beast. Whenever we give him the ball he fights for those yards, and he’s a guy that’s not going to give up on that first tackler. He’s going to find a way to kepp pushing, put his head down, and get the yards that we need to for this team. I love watching him run.”
It’s a short week for the Bulldogs this week. They’re back in action Thursday against Western Kentucky. Good news is the game is at home.
