A statewide outage at the Louisiana Office of Motor vehicles has been resolved, according to the OMV website.
All offices are expected to open as scheduled, Thursday morning.
On Wednesday, due to a core applications issue, OMV officers throughout the state were unable to process driver's license services. Vehicle registration transactions were still available.
OMV officials released the following statement regarding the abrupt electrical failure:
We are currently experiencing statewide outages and are unable to process any drivers license or reinstatement transactions in offices at this time. Vehicle registration transactions are still able to be completed We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."
