The National WWII Museum’s Victory Belles will be in Alexandria and Pineville Wednesday, Feb. 3 through Saturday, Feb. 6.
The Victory Belles are a charming vocal trio who travel the globe delighting audiences with their spirited performances, which feature dazzling costumes, audience interaction, and musical hits such as Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree, and God Bless America, all sung in rich, three-part harmony.
Wednesday evening, the Victory Belles will perform a few selected numbers with the Air Force Band of the West at Pineville High School Auditorium. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and is free admission to the public. Ticket reservations can be made by visiting Ticket-Central.org.
The Belles will visit Fort Polk on Thursday and the local VA Hospital in Pineville on Friday, where they will offer a short performance then greet veterans in the hospital.
Friday afternoon, the Belles can be found riding in the Hixson Autoplex Classic Cars & College Cheerleaders Parade in downtown Alexandria. The parade rolls at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, the ladies will perform on stage from 2-3 p.m. at the Alexandria Zoo during the annual Mardi Gras Party.
Created in 2009, today there are sixteen Victory Belles keeping America’s magical musical history alive with regular performances every Wednesday at the National WWII Museum’s Stage Door Canteen, as well as across the country and overseas. Recent notable performances include USO Service Salutes in Guam, Tokyo, Okinawa, and Hawaii; and they have sung the National Anthem three times at the Saints NFL football games with the last one nationally televised on NBC. They also perform with many of the United States Military Bands. The Victory Belles are proud to serve as ambassadors of The National WWII Museum and are honored to salute our nation’s veterans in song!
