Paragon honors veterans with ceremony on November 11

Officials from Paragon Casino Resort, The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana and veterans’ organizations throughout Central Louisiana extend an invitation to all veterans, their family members and the general public to attend a Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at the Avoyelles Veterans Monument on Highway 1 at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will include a 21-gun salute performed by the Avoyelles Parish Honor Guard.

“For over a decade, the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana has shown its support for our military by honoring veterans from throughout Louisiana,” said Tunica-Biloxi Tribal Chairman, Joey P. Barbry. “The Avoyelles Veterans Monument is a tribute to those men and women who made sacrifices for our freedom. This ceremony keeps alive the memory of our fallen soldiers.”

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside the Earl J. Barbry, Sr. Convention Center at Paragon Casino Resort. 

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.

All veterans and active military personnel can enjoy a FREE buffet on Veterans Day. Must present military ID to the Preferred Players Club to receive voucher for free buffet. Limit one per person.
