The Lemoine Company will work with architects designing the new high school planned in Youngsville as part of a $250,000 contract the Lafayette Parish School Board approved Wednesday night.
The contract names The Lemoine Company as the “construction manager at risk” for the project, a designation that means the company will work hand in hand with architects in the design phase of the high school to ensure more timely and accurate pricing on the construction.
At the end of the pre-construction consulting services, the company will submit its guaranteed maximum price to complete the project. If the board accepts the price tag, it can enter into another contract with the company or put the construction out to bid.
The School Board issued a request for qualifications from interested applicants, and The Lemoine Company was the sole submission but also received high marks from an evaluation committee.
