A federal judge has ruled in favor of a business owner who sued the City of West Monroe and two of its police officers — including Jody Ledoux.

The judge ruled in favor of Donald Harger, on the claim that he had been falsely arrested by West Monroe Police Officers Ledoux and Justin Hattaway.

Business owner Donald Harger claimed that officers Ledoux and Hattaway used excessive force and falsely arrested him after he removed batteries and a display from another business because of a contract dispute.

Harger claims that officers Ledoux and Hattaway demanded that he take the batteries back…

When he refused he says the officers shoved him into a display rack and drew their tasers — and made him get on his knees before arresting him.

Ledoux is on administrative leave for another matter — the shooting death of a man last year.

He was indicted by a grand jury for negligent homicide.
