On March 3, 2016 at approximately 7:00 P.M. – Alexandria Police officers were already conducting an investigation in the 1700 block of Levee Street.

Officers were then approached by a female, unrelated to the incident they were already out there for, and she told the officers that her boyfriend had just hung himself.

The officers rushed to the area in question, to render aid.

The female had told the officers that she and her boyfriend had been living in a tent in the area. They had gotten into an argument. The victim then went outside of the tent and she later heard him calling her name. When she had went outside to see what he wanted, she noticed that he had hung himself.

She then called 911 for help and contacted the police that were already in the area.

Dorian Fowler, age 20 of Alexandria, was pronounced dead at the scene by Acadian and AFD officials.
