APD arrests two in carjacking case

On September 16, 2015 at 12:34 a.m., Alexandria Police were dispatched to the 3400 Block of North Mall Drive in reference to a carjacking. Upon arrival, Officers met with the complainant/victim who reported while giving a male and female subject a ride from the 2100 Block of North Mall Drive, the male subject produced a handgun and struck the victim and forced him to stop the car.

When the car was stopped, the male and female subject took the victims money and fled in the vehicle. A BOLO was put out to all officers. As the investigation continued on scene, assisting officers spotted the vehicle in the Bolton Avenue and Jackson Street area. A traffic stop was conducted with officers taking the both subjects into custody without further incident. A handgun was recovered. A.P.D. detectives and crime scene investigators were called out to assist with the investigation.

Those who were arrested are:

Clyde G. Issac Jr. 48 of Dry Prong, was charged with:

1 Count – Carjacking
1 Count – Aggravated Battery
1 Count – Amed Robbery

Angel M. Laiche, 24 of Dry Prong, was charged with:

1 Count – Carjacking
1 Count – Armed Robbery

Both Issac and Laiche were transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for booking.
