APD arrested two men in one incident

On December 29, 2015 at approximately 11:30 P.M. officers responded to a complaint of a male breaking into another male’s residence in the 2000 block of Overton.

Officers arrived and discovered Travis Jackson hiding inside the residence of William Stanley. Jackson told Officers he was just trying to get warm. Officers subsequently discovered that the residential electric service was being “jumped” by wires – bypassing a meter. Officers charged Stanley with Theft of Utilities.

Both were booked into the Rapides Parish Jail without incident.

Arrested:

Travis Jackson, 29 of Alexandria, was charged with:

1 Count – Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling

William Stanley, 63 of Alexandria, was charged with:

1 Count – Theft of Utilities

There was no photograph of William Stanley available from the Alexandria Police Department – as of press time.
