Please join us November 16, in Alexandria for the 2015 Summit on the Future of Higher Education in Central Louisiana. Featured presenters will include Mr. Jimmy Sawtelle, Chancellor of Central Louisiana Technical Community College; Dr. Jim Henderson, President of Northwestern State University; and, Dr. Dan Howard, Chancellor of LSU of Alexandria.
The meeting will also feature updates on work-based learning and overall educational achievement in the region.
The Summit will be held in the Convention rooms at the City Hall of Alexandria. The serving lines for lunch will open at 11:00 a.m. and the Summit will convene at 11:15 a.m.
This meeting marks the fifth annual Summit convened by CLEDA and the first since the creation of the Business-Higher Education Alliance. CLEDA President Jim Clinton said, our goal here is to build an education population in Central Louisiana that is capable of responding to the complex demands and opportunities of the 21st Century.” He continued, “Better education achievements are necessary ingredients in building a vibrant and sustainable regional economy. We have to know more and we have to be able to use that knowledge on the path to prosperity.”
