APD identifies suspect in burglary case

On October 9, 2015 Alexandria Police responded to a reported burglary of several vehicles which belonged to a local business in the 1000 Block of MacArthur Drive. Some miscellaneous items were taken. A.P.D. detectives were assigned to investigate further and a suspect was developed. A B.O.L.O. (Be on the Lookout) was given to all officers.

At approximately 3:24 p.m. the same day, A.P.D. officers spotted a subject matching the description given in the B.O.L.O., walking in the 3100 Block of Monroe Street. The subject was detained for a field interview which resulted in officers identifying him as Richard Brown and locating property on his person that was reported stolen in the above referenced incident.

Richard Brown, 35 of Alexandria, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on:

3 Counts – Simple Burglary.
