Leg Raises

Exercise Series #1

In this segment of Get Healthy Cenla, Lydia Kozlowski, Exercise Specialist with The Rapides Foundation's Healthy Lifestyle Program, will guide you through the proper way to execute leg raises.

 

Basic Tips:

  • Prop head on your arm closest to the floor in order to keep your spine in a straight line.
  • Leg closest to floor will be bent.
  • Place your free hand on the floor in front of you at your midsection, and keep it flat for support.
  • As you lift the free leg, focus on drawing your support to the stomach.
  • Continue to breathe normally throughout the exercise. Don't hold your breath.
  • Reverse the technique for the other leg.
