UPDATE (05/23/2023): On May 22, 2023, deputies responded to a stabbing that took place at Town and Country Apartments. According to deputies, Dcameron D. Wilmore allegedly enter the apartment without permission and an altercation ensued between an occupant and Wilmore. Wilmore was stabbed during the altercation and died at the scene.
The investigation is continuing and no arrests have been made at this time.
UPDATE (4:24 PM): Officials of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the victim of the fatal stabbing was identified as 20-year-old Dcameron Demontreal Wilmore. On Monday, May 22, 2023, at 10:25 AM, deputies of Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing at Town and Country Apartments.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered Wilmore, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A person of interest has been taken into custody.
According to officials, the investigation remains ongoing.
UPDATE: According to authorities, the victim has been pronounced deceased after a stabbing took place at the Town and Country Apartments in Monroe, La. Authorities will not release the name of the victim and the person of interest has been taken custody.

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD)– On Monday, May 22, 2023, at 10:25 AM, deputies of Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing at Town and Country Apartments. According to authorities, the person of interest in the stabbing has been taken into custody and the victim has been transported to a local hospital.
