ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) – Parts of Cenla are waking up this morning to unexpected damage from a storm that occurred in the early morning hours. There are down trees, debris, and power lines in parts of Ball.
A CLECO representative, with the help of a drone, says it appears to be straight line winds that caused the damage. Electricity has been out for part of the area since approximately 3 a.m. Some areas are also without water due to broken pipes.
Ball Dairy Queen owner, Mr. Ricky Richardson, states he is thankful no one was hurt. The building has considerable damage and when asked if he would rebuild, Mr. Richardson’s answer was, “absolutely yes.”
As for now the town is working together to clean up the area.
