In celebration of our 22nd anniversary, the employees of Nexstar Media Group and FOX 48, as your local Nexstar station, will join together in a day of giving to the communities we serve. Follow along as we tell the stories of the local charities we work with annually on our Founders Day of Caring.
2018 Founder’s Day of Caring

The staff of WNTZ FOX 48 and CenLaNow.com volunteered for the 2018 Nexstar Day of Caring event on Friday, June 15, at Manna House.

FOX 48 staff assisted other volunteers in food preparation and serving the community Friday lunch.

Manna House, ministered by the Catholic Diocese of Alexandria, is a place open every day for people from any walk of life to recieve a hot meal. Many who rely on Manna House are suffering from homelessnes or survive day-to-day on low earnings.

Manna House does this mission without governmental funding.  The community helps provide food, volunteers and financial donations in order to keep the operation running.

You can assist Manna House throughout the year by volunteering your time during a meal, donating food or making a monetary donation to help further their mission so that no one in our community goes hungry.
